The candy bar like mobile phone has appetizingly different looks. The keys on the keypad are a very neat selection though but certainly good looking and well arranged. The mobile have been given a metallic finish and nice bordering and weighing about 100g. The screen dimension is good quality 2.8 inches display. It sure has a touch screen feature. Below that are the five way navigation keys for easy access to the most features and dedicated function keys. In general the looks are neat and really well designed.

The Micromax X555 has an excellent 5 MP CMOS camera. The quality of the pictures is fine and for taking better images a Xenon Flash is also provided. The camera can also be used as a PC webcam. The X555 has a speakerphone to give a hand you while driving or for hands free calling and voice recorder, photo and video call which are vital features for mobile phones of today. The messaging options include SMS and MMS for messaging pictures and videos along with text.

It has Theft Track with Remote Access. The SMS memory can stock up to 1000 messages and phone book memory can store up to 1000 contacts.

The music features are pretty remarkable. This mobile phone supports most music format files like MP3 / WAV / AAC / AAC+ allowing you to listen in to your desired songs at any time you want. The internal memory can be expanded up to 2GB with a microSD card which allows you to stock up more music in the phone. The music can also be played in an offline mode in the background. The mobile phone helps you stay connected with a Bluetooth (v2.0) and class 12 GPRS connection.

The battery life is remarkable at 250 hours of standby time and about 3.5 hours of talk time.
